If you train with a standard Olympic barbell — they fit perfectly. That covers the vast majority of commercial gyms and home gym setups.

28.5–29mm

Perfect fit
Power bars in the 28.5–29mm range fit securely. The silicone construction accommodates the marginal size difference without any loss of grip stability.

EZ Bar

28–30mm grip section

Perfect fit
EZ bars fit well on the straight grip sections. Position the grips on the flat portions of the bar for full contact and stability.

Smith Machine Bar

28–32mm

Fits most
Most Smith machine bars fall in the 28–32mm range and fit well. Bars at the higher end of that range will have a slightly looser fit but remain secure during pressing movements.

Women's Olympic Bar

25mm

Won't fit
At 25mm the women's Olympic bar is too narrow for the grip to seat securely. Using Optimo Pro on a 25mm bar is not recommended as the grip may shift during a lift.

Standard 1" Bar

25mm

Won't fit
Standard 1" bars are 25mm with a threaded weight sleeve — too thin for a secure fit. These are typical of entry-level home weight sets. Upgrading to an Olympic bar makes Optimo Pro compatible.

Fixed Hex Dumbbells

28–32mm handle

Perfect fit
Standard commercial hex dumbbells typically have 28–30mm handles. Optimo Pro seats securely and delivers the full ergonomic benefit on all dumbbell pressing and curling movements.

Adjustable Dumbbells

Bowflex, Nuobell, most systems

Fits most
Most adjustable dumbbell systems including Bowflex and Nuobell have handles in the 28–32mm range. Verify your specific handle diameter before use. The grip zone length on some adjustable systems may be shorter than a standard dumbbell.

Rubber Coated Dumbbells

28–34mm

Fits most
Rubber coated dumbbell handles vary by manufacturer. Most commercial sets fit well. If the handle diameter is at the higher end of 32–34mm the grip will be slightly looser but functional for most movements.

Cable Attachments

Straight bar, lat bar, rope

Fits most
Most straight bar and lat bar cable attachments have handles in the 25–32mm range. Straight bar attachments at 28mm fit perfectly. Rope attachments are not compatible. Verify handle diameter on your specific attachment.

Plate Loaded Machines

28–32mm handle

Fits most
Plate loaded pressing and curling machines typically use handles in the 28–32mm range. Most commercial machines fit well. Machines with fixed curved handles are not compatible.

Curved or Fixed Handles

Non-straight grip section

Won't fit
Optimo Pro requires a straight cylindrical grip section to seat correctly. Equipment with curved, angled, or fixed non-cylindrical handles will not allow the grip to seat flush and should not be used.
